On completion of the paper, candidates should be able to:
Define Governance and explain its function in the effective management and control of organisations and of the resources for which they are accountable.
Evaluate the Governance, Risk and Ethic's role in internal control, review and compliance.
Explain the role of the accountant in identifying and assessing risk.
Explain and evaluate the role of the accountant in controlling and mitigating risk.
Demonstrate the application of professional values and judgement through an ethical framework that is in the best interest of society and the profession, in compliance with relevant professional codes, laws and regulations.

These are examined at the highest level in the ACCA Qualification and are a core element of your practical experience requirements.
In order to qualify as an ACCA member, you will need to complete:
14 exams (nine of which are eligible for exemption)
relevant practical experience, with a minimum of three years
a Professional Ethics module.
