Description
Security Plus Certification from Gatlin International
Gatlin International offers Security Plus Certification training for working professionals and students looking to begin or advance their careers. Security threats are increasing in number and severity, and the gap between the need for security professionals and qualified IT personnel is the largest of any IT specialty, according to a 2008 CompTIA study. Even in a troubled economy, most businesses plan to maintain or increase their investment in security.
CompTIA's Security+ is a vendor-neutral certification that validates the competency of security professionals working in the IT industry. The Security Plus Certification confirms a technician's critical knowledge of communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, operational security, and general security concepts. Because human error is the number one cause for a network security breach, CompTIA Security+ is recognized by the technology community as a valuable credential that proves competency with information security.
The CompTIA Security+ Certification Training program measures the necessary competencies for an IT professional with approximately two years networking experience. Students will learn the knowledge and skills needed to protect your business from the theft or destruction of information or disruption of communication.
Upon successful completion of this Securtiy Plus certification program, you’ll:
- Demonstrate knowledge of security threats
- Understand communication and infrastructure security
- Gain knowledge about cryptography, access control, and authentication
- Prevent against external attack
