Our emergency management programme addresses all aspects of emergency management including the social and environmental factors that create hazards, vulnerability analysis, hazard analysis and mitigation, emergency management and response and disaster recovery, and emergency management planning.
Our emergency manager certification course is a highly interactive programme that provides a solid understanding of emergency management practices and principles every emergency manager should know. Our emergency management certification course utilizes a mix of online presentations, interactive activities, reading assignments and high quality animation to ensure our students gain a comprehensive understanding of emergency management procedures and practices. Our informative presentations provide students with overviews of the basic concepts and our high quality, animated scenarios lead them through a typical disaster scenario in which they assume different roles and provide responses to questions about how best to proceed through the virtual emergency. Reading assignments provide additional information needed to complete the activity. Students work with their expert course facilitator, in a one-on-one basis, on essay style activities that require detailed responses to the emergency scenario.
The final result of our approach to emergency management training is that students have a comprehensive understanding of the field of emergency management and the job responsibilities of the Certified Emergency Manager.
In addition to the state of the art online programme, we provide access, students also receive five textbooks focused on emergency management which are used extensively throughout the programme. Upon registering, students are given six months in which to complete the emergency management certification programme. If additional time is needed, a six month extension is available upon request at no additional charge.

• Assess risk and vulnerability and identify hazards.
• Follow the process for hazard mitigation planning.
• Apply appropriate mitigation tools and techniques to reduce vulnerability.

- A High School Diploma or GED is required to enroll in our Certified Emergency Manager course.
The intended audience for the certified Emergency Manager programme is individuals who have either no or minimal knowledge of the emergency management field, and would like to learn the skills necessary to get an entry-level position.
