Introduction to Construction Management

See how a Course Works: Intro to Online Learning

Description

The present trend is for construction firms to grow and their activities are becoming more complex. The ratio of manager to workers has increased, and there are more specialists, and many more rules and procedures.

The roles are more tightly defined, and external controls have increased. Managers require more skills and more information to be able to cope with these changes. In large organisations, the days of an individual manager running all the affairs of the concern are finished. The efficient organisation of big business now requires a co-ordinated team effort.

Learning the basic skills and knowledge of construction is vital to anyone wishing to enter the construction industry or wanting to ensure that a project they are about to start or are planning to oversee will benefit from this course.
