In our Word 2007 training course students learn at their own pace, from the convenience of their own homes. Microsoft® Word 2007 training from Gatlin International is an in depth, performance-based, online certification training programme designed to enhance the student's business computer skills using Microsoft® Word 2007 software.

Our interactive Word training program prepares students to take the Microsoft® Word Certification Exam 77-601. In our Word training course, students will gain an understanding of the basic functionality of Word 2007 and then build on their basic skills to learn more advanced capabilities like how to use tables, Mail Merge, how to create hyperlinks, how to add borders and shading, how to merge cells, how to design web pages, how to create and edit styles, and how to use the Document Map.

The Microsoft® Word 2007 training course provides continuous assessment for goal-based learning. Word 2007 training from Gatlin International is comprised of three multi-lesson modules. Students are required to achieve 70% of all possible points for each module before advancing to the following module. The Microsoft® Word training course includes a final project which demonstrates the student's command of the software and must and submitted to the instructor.

Students enrolled in the Word training course will need to have Microsoft® Word 2007 installed on their computer prior to enrolling in this course.

• Know how to format content and manipulate pagination.
• Be skilled in formatting illustrations, graphic text, and text boxes.
• Have a thorough understand how to use Quick Parts to organize content, manipulate tables, and merge Word documents.
• Know how to create, modify, and delete comments.
• Know how to share and secure their Word 2007 documents.

Elizabeth Ann Nofs
Elizabeth Ann Nofs is co-founder and the Creative Director for Comma Project, LLC. Her research on how men and women approach computer learning provided the foundation for the Comma Method of training, as well as The Computer Mama Show, a pilot produced with WFUM/TV28 (PBS), Flint, Michigan.

Elizabeth is the designer and developer of the Complete Computer Guide series. The teaching methodology incorporated into the Guide is a breakthrough in producing gender balanced training with outstanding student completion, retention, and mastery rates.

She is the author of 38 computer certification Guides including: The Complete Guide to Microsoft Office 2007 (2007), The Complete Computer Guide (2005), The Comma Method of Computer Training (2003), and The Comma Teachers Edition (2003).

Elizabeth received her B.A. degree in Biology from the University of Michigan., Ann Arbor. She is a Microsoft Certified Professional.

Clair E. Dickson, Student Services
Clair earned her BS in Secondary English at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan and is certified to teach English and History at the high school level. She also met all of the standards for teaching with technology as outlined by COATT (Consortium for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching with Technology.) Clair is considered "highly qualified" to teach computer courses, including Microsoft Office® 2003 and 2007, Windows XP® and Windows Vista®.

Clair Dickson is currently working on a Master's Degree in Educational Media and Technology through Eastern Michigan University's online distance learning program. The program explores ways to infuse technology into the learning experience so that learning is interactive.
Prerequisites/Audience
Students enrolling in the Word 2007 training course should possess a basic understanding of computer skills, Internet connection, and emailing capabilities are required.

This course is intended for students who want to learn how to effectively use Microsoft® Word 2007
Requirements/Materials Included
The Word 2007 training course cannot be taken on a Mac computer. Technical requirements include but are not limited to having internet access with a 56K modem, but it is highly recommended that you have DSL or High Speed Cable Internet Access; 64 MB system RAM; 200 MB free hard disk space memory or sufficient storage; reliable email account access, CD-ROM/DVD capabilities, and a reliable Internet provider.

You will need the following products already be loaded on the computer in order to take this course: Windows Vista Business edition or Windows XP, Microsoft Word 2007, Adobe Acrobat Reader (free version), and Flash Player.
