Nutrition courses from Gatlin International are the affordable, convenient way to get the training you need to advance your career in the rapidly growing fields of health and wellness and sports nutrition. The online Nutrition for Optimal Health, Wellness, and Sports programme from Gatlin International was designed to meet the growing demand for allied health/medical professionals, sports trainers, Registered Dietitians, fitness trainers, personal trainers, and others who want to develope individualized nutritional programmes for their clients, their patients, or for their own personal health and wellness improvement. As with all of our nutrition courses, our Nutrition for Optimal Health, Wellness, and Sports course offers research of current issues related to nutrition including: energy and nutritional needs for performing daily activities with a focus on specific physical activities; an exploration of common myths and misperceptions relating to diet and athletic performance; sports nutrition, and behavior modifications and dietary approaches appropriate for various demographics. The content and curriculum for our nutrition courses is designed to prepare healthcare professionals and Registered Dietitians to construct nutritional recommendations based on their client’s health history with a goal of optimal nutritional health and wellness as the ultimate focus. Personal trainers seeking training typically found in more narrowly focused sports nutrition courses will learn the fundamentals of nutrition needed to work with clients in partnership with Registered Dietitians. Individuals seeking to learn more about nutrition, daily meal planning, effective, proven wellness strategies, and sports nutrition will gain information designed to help them achieve their own nutrition goals as well as those of their family members. The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency for the American Dietetic Association (ADA) has approved the Nutrition Certificate programme for 120 Continuing Professional Education Units (CPEUs)/ or 30 (CPEUs) per course for both the Registered Dietitian (RDs) and Dietetic Technician-Registered (DTRs).
